Why elves are better than dwarven

While elves and dwarves are now staples of the genre, Tolkien brought them into the modern age and popularized them. While elves especially were shown to be intriguing and compelling, the dwarves from Middle-Earth are also interesting with a complex backstory. And, while most fans have their favorite, there are some reasons why elves are better and reasons why the dwarves are. While they all have their own personality traits and some are more serious than others, dwarves seem to get up to quite a lot of hilarious hijinks.

To really get into the details of both elves and dwarves in Middle-Earth and its mythology, a person needs to read books such as The Silmarillion. But, even in the representation of these races in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit , elves do seem to be more forward-thinking when it comes to gender.

When your fighting an evenly matched war, you want the elves commanding. Dwarves make descent front line tanks, but in the end superior tactics can make much of the Dwarves advantages useless. The souths victories early in the war came from superior tactics and commanders, not armor and better guns.

At least elves have Principles. And Elves are tall. The Dwarves couldn't have destroyed Mirkwood.
